VFD and drive repair, down to the component
We repair AC and DC drives down to the failed component, then run every one at full load before it leaves the workshop. ABB, Siemens, Yaskawa, Toshiba, Delta and most other makes, including models the manufacturer no longer supports. We repair industrial SMPS and controllers the same way.

What happens to your drive
A repair, not a board swap
Most "repairs" replace a whole card and send the bill. We trace the fault to the part that failed: an IGBT, a gate-driver optocoupler, a dried DC-bus capacitor, a cracked track. Then we replace that part with a matched device and test the drive the way your plant will use it.
That approach is why we take on drives other workshops return unrepaired, and why the cost is usually a fraction of a new unit.
Why plants send us their drives
Spares in stock
IGBTs, power modules, driver ICs, capacitors, fans and card parts on the shelf, so most repairs don't wait for parts.
Parameterisation and copying
We back up, restore and copy parameters, and set up a replacement drive to match the old one before it reaches your plant.
Reply by the next day
Once your drive or enquiry reaches us, you hear back by the next day with the fault and a written quote.
Fair price
A component-level repair usually costs a fraction of a new drive, and you approve the quote before we start.
From anywhere in India
Customers in Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu and other states send drives by courier. On-site visits cover Jharkhand and nearby areas.

The lab
Tested under load before it leaves
A drive that powers up on the bench can still fail on the first start at site. So every drive we repair runs with a motor at rated current for at least 30 minutes while we watch the IGBT and heatsink temperatures. You get a test report with the repaired unit.

Digital storage oscilloscopes, isolated variable supplies, semiconductor and insulation testing, SMD rework under magnification, and floor space for high-power drive stacks. Inside our lab

Makes we repair
Drives we see every week
ABB is our largest repair line: ACS550, ACS800, ACS880, ACS355 and DCS800 DC drives. We also repair Siemens SINAMICS and MICROMASTER, Yaskawa F7, A1000 and V1000, Toshiba VF-S15 and VF-AS1, Delta VFD-B, VFD-E and C2000, Schneider Altivar, and drives from Fuji Electric, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Danfoss, Hitachi, KEB, Lenze, Control Techniques.
Electronic Point is an independent repair workshop, not an authorised service centre of these manufacturers.

The people behind the bench
- Rakesh Kumar, Managing Partner: 40 years in industrial engineering, 35 with Tata Steel
- B. P. Jamuar, Partner: 55 years in industrial engineering, 40 with Tata Steel
- V. K. Ojha, Mentor: 45 years in industrial engineering, 40 with Tata Steel
Rakesh Kumar received the Prime Minister's Shram Veer Award for the year 2011.
That plant background changes how we diagnose. A drive that keeps tripping is often reacting to something else on the line, so we ask about the whole system before we open the box.

Drive down? Send us the nameplate.
A clear photo of the nameplate and the fault code on the display is usually enough for us to tell you what's likely wrong and what it will take.
